Henrico County
Henrico County's 260,000 residents live in a well-planned community of 244.06 square miles consisting of beautiful residential communities, large expanses of fertile farm land, and carefully developed office, retail, and diversified industrial areas.

Henrico has an extensive network of park and recreational facilities, many of which have historic significance. For example, Meadow Farm, former home of Mosby Sheppard, is one of several Henrico sites listed on the National Register of Historic Places. This 150-acre farm was donated to the County of Henrico by Mrs. Elizabeth Adam Crump, wife of the late Adjutant General of Virginia Sheppard Crump, a descendent of the original owner. Meadow Farm is now the site of a nursing home, museum, and park.

Hanover County
Hanover County is located in the east-central Piedmont and Coastal Plain areas of Virginia, between the Chickahominy and Pamunkey Rivers. It is approximately 90 miles south of Washington, D.C. and 12 miles north of Richmond. It is a part of the greater Richmond metropolitan area. The County land area is 471 square miles and is bordered by the Counties of Caroline, King William, New Kent, Henrico, Goochland, Spotsylvania and Louisa. There is one incorporated town in the County, which is the Town of Ashland

Hanover's contemporary life is that of a vibrant rural and suburban locality. It has two interstate highways, I-95 and I-295, which are among the busiest in the eastern United States. The County has a population of approximately 86,000. This includes those residing in the Town of Ashland, an authentic railroad town. Trains still rumble through the center of town, past Randolph-Macon College, lovely Victorian homes, and various shops. Randolph-Macon College is the oldest Methodist College in the United States.

Hanover is an excellent environment in which to live, for it offers a taste of rural America (it is the home of the internationally renowned Hanover Tomato) in the greater Richmond area. Hanover County also is great horse country and boasts some of the finest livestock farms in central Virginia. The County, one of the fastest growing in the state, continues to be an exciting community where history is preserved for the future.
